What is #SHELEADS?

SheLeads is an exciting project that NSL has created in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.

Participants engage in the #SheLeads online program to develop skills in political strategic thinking, United Nations legal training, gender lens investments, and diplomacy. #SheLeaders also learn from and connect with prominent women leaders and develop their own stories and policy solutions.

#SHELEADS goals and objectives

Main Goal

Create a unique platform for women to connect and speak about the issues that matter most in their respective communities, elevating each other’s voices.

Objectives

  • To provide leadership training for 20 young women in Israel/ Palestine through gender-focused discussions and training.

  • To create virtual platforms where the voices of Palestinian and Israeli women are front and center in discussing solutions to women's issues in each community, while also focusing on peace building efforts in Palestine and Israel.

  • To create a community of Israelis and Palestinians who can unite to advance gender equality and equal representation of women in politics everywhere.

Theory Of Change

Creating Meaningful Dialogue

By bringing together Palestinian and Israeli women to share their experiences and engage in difficult conversations, the women will build relationships with each other and create a strong supportive network.
