Biography: Yarden Karni is 27 years old, lives in Jerusalem, and a final year student of Political Science and Media in the Hebrew University. Originally from Kibbutz Tzora, he was raised in politically and socially active environment in the values of the Labor movement. His father was involved in the initial stages of the Oslo Accords. Yarden served three years in the army and has participated in a variety of social, political and public activities – headed the youth society of the Kibbutz, volunteered for a year with underprivileged teenagers, elected to represent his faculty at the Hebrew University Student Union Executive Committee, and has worked in an NGO advancing social and cultural prosperity in Jerusalem. Yarden is an entrepreneur at heart and is committed to helping remediate the staggering poverty in East Jerusalem among the Arab Israeli populations by working to train a select group of entrepreneurs. One of the consultants on Yarden’s Project for Change is Guy Cherni, alum of 2012 who now works at the Jerusalem Entrepreneurship Center
