Biography: Councillor Khan, 31, who works in hotel management, is a representative of the Gresham Ward having first been elected in 2011. A passionate supporter of local government and communities, Mr Khan put his name forward in 2012 seeking the Labour nomination to be the Police and Crime Commissioner in Cleveland. He is also a former Student Union President of the Middlesborough College.
