Bio: Noa Shapira is a 21 year old Israeli from Haifa, who has just graduated from her three years of IDF service where she was in their media and broadcast unit. While she prepares to begin her studies, she has been working at Channel 10 in Tel Aviv. Noa’s grandparents are Holocaust survivors and her immediate family has been directly touched by the conflict. Those searing experiences have inspired Noa to be an activist for change, working with many peace groups such as Vocation from War, YIFC and ICAHD. Noa is very determined, has a sense of urgency, and she applied to NSL to help her find others equally determined to change the conversation. She feels that not enough young people are engaged in these vital issues.
