Biography: Mary Sayej is a 22 year old student of Business Economics at Birzeit University and from Ramallah. She comes from a Catholic family and is focused on the issue of economic development and employment. She is an activist in women’s issues and wants to jolt her peers out of their victim mentality and pursue policies that grow the local capacity for enterprise. She sees women as leading the way in this and is driven to understand the forces that can prosper the local economy. Mary applied to NSL last year also but she was studying abroad in Turkey and so this is her year to participate.
