Jacoub is a Catholic Christian studying at BU and in his third year of Computer Science and Business Administration. He comes from a small family where is father worked in banking and struggled from a very lowly job to becoming a manager and that has inspired Yaccoub to aspire to be the best he can be, and become a leader.
He is a student Ambassador at BU which involves meeting and greeting international pilgrims and introducing them to the University. He is also the student representative on the Development Board of BU. Last year, Yaccoub was chosen to participate on the MEPI program and attended the University of Delaware for a month. When I visited BU last November, Yaccoub was one of my student hosts who introduced me to some of the students.
The new Director of BU’s Development Office in DC, Kate Casa, is also working with Yaccoub and the students in building greater recognition in the USA for the mission of BU, the first Christian University in the Middle East, and run by the American Christian Brothers of La Salle.
