Whilst in Washington DC, one of the most important components of the NSL program is the professional work placement. For four days a week, the students are placed in postions within some of the most important institutions in America. Often paired, one Israeli and one Palestinian, the students learn about American society and culture whilst having an opportunity to tell their story to those they are working for. In the past, members of the WIPAN program have even interned with then Senator, Barack Obama, then Senator, Hillary Clinton and even within the White House.
Through the hard work and dedication of our NSL contacts, we have begun to develop a range of different professional opportunities for our students.
