Hala received her Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance from Lancaster University in England. She has worked in financial institutions ever since and has been a university educator in the finance department at the Al Najah National University since 2011. She is concerned with violations of human rights and especially the rights of children. She’s been a frequent volunteer and activist and a participant in numerous programs related to the conflict, involving youth education, Search for Common Ground, Zajel and Injaz, and Women to Women for Peace. She’s maintained connections with graduates from all these the programs and is constantly active in seeking additional opportunities to positively change the narrative of the region. Her Project for Change is to take up a number of select cases of human rights abuses involving children and to create a campaign and a file of resources where these cases can be brought to the world’s attention.
