Biography: Coral Kasirer is a 24 year old Israeli who has just graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada with a Bachelor of Arts. At UBC, Coral studied journalism and international politics, human rights and the environment, as well as being an activist on campus advocating for Israel. Coral’s grandparents were Holocaust survivors and has strong connections to the founding of Israel, She has worked with NGOs such as Peace it Together, which promotes peace between Palestinians and Israelis, Oxfam International and Amnesty International. Throughout her growing up, Coral has been part of Macabbi Tzair, a Zionist youth movement that instilled in her the values of leadership, good citizenship, community service, equality and diversity. Coral wants to pursue a career in international law and is participating in NSL to work on a project to foster greater media accountability for how they cover the Middle East conflict
