As many will know, one of NSL’s greatest and most passionate supporters, Congressman Donald Payne, passed away this year at the age of 77 from colon cancer. The Congressman played a pivotal role in our formative years, as well as assisting our sister programs in SAWIP and WIP. His passing has been deeply felt by all.
As a means of recognising his commitment to our programs, NSL is delighted to announce that it is working with the late Congressman’s office to create the Congressman Donald Payne Memorial Scholarship. Though details are still being determined, we hope that this opportunity will be a lasting tribute to a great supporter and a true friend of NSL.
